Frequently Asked Questions
How would my design look on a velvet business card? What kind of designs look best?
This is a particularly special paper stock: It works beautifully with white and airy designs, bright colours or richer, saturated hues. If you intend to add handwritten notes to your business cards, you may want to consider another option, as the coating can make crisp handwriting difficult. Otherwise, we consider this a universally complementary paper option.
Is the velvet coating shiny?
No. The coating has a matte finish.
Will my custom cards have the velvet texture on both sides of the card, or just the front?
Both – the coating is on the front and the back.
Can I print on the back of velvet business cards?
Yes. You can choose from our one or two-sided printing options.
Can I add a special finish, like spot UV, to my card? Can I request a custom shape or size?
Not at this time.
